The April 'Well Spoken' features guest speaker - Stephanie Bowgett.
Stephanie was the founder member of the Albert Poets (a nationally respected poetry group) more than twenty years ago, and still co-ordinates their workshops and readings. She has won numerous poetry prizes and appeared in many leading poetry magazines.
Her latest collection "A poor kind of memory" received glowing testimonies "In these wonderful poems Stephanie writes with skill and sensitivity about the vulnerable. She has an instinct for the appropriate register and form with which to convey the poignancy of powerlessness through the ages, whether relating to children, women, refugees, or whoever. At the same time she recognises the resilience of these people without a choice."
We invite you to join us to hear some of Stephanie's work, read something of your own or just enjoy listening to others.
