We have lots of different events happening at The Tap throughout May and June.

Every Tuesday is Quiz night – starting at 8pm with the picture quiz then the questions start at 8.30pm. Teams from 1 to 6 people with the winning team getting 6 beer tokens which are valid for 1 week. There is also a Jackpot where there is a chance of winning up to £100.

Wednesday 10th May and 14th June is ‘Have a Crafty One’ starting at 7.30pm.   You are invited to bring whatever craft you are currently working on and join like minded people to craft over a glass of something.  The Green Oak Morris Men practice in The Upper Room on a Wednesday night and new members are always welcome.

Thursday 4th May is Singing Together in the Bar with guest singers Holler – looking like a sell out!

Thursday 1st June will be a Singing Together Concert a little bit different from normal.

Thursday 8th June’s Singing Together will be held in The Upper Room with guest singer Dan Walsh.

Thursday 11th May is ‘Well Spoken’ with Guest Janine Booth who has entertained and challenged us eoquently in the past and will be launching her ‘Manifesto of the Disaffected Middle-AgedWomen, who are still mostly hating Tories. There will also be the usual open mic.

Thursday 8th is the June ‘Well Spoken’ where you are invited to bring a piece of work to read or you can read something by your favourite author/poet.

Thursday 18th May and 15th June is ‘Stammtisch’ which is an evening of German Conversation. Come along and join the group speaking German or again you can just listen.

Thursday 25th May is ‘Book Club’. The two books for May are Fish Bowl by Bradley Somer and The Truth by Terry Pratchett. Read either or both of them then join in the discussion and mark the read out of 10.

Every Friday is ‘Cheeky Drinkers Club’. Start your weekend off well with a cheeky pint with friends.

Saturday 20th May and Saturday 17th June is ‘Uke Can Do It’ which is our Ukulele Group. Bring your Uke and join in the fun playing and singing some popular songs.  Starting at around 1.30pm until 5pmish.

The Open Folk Session for May has been brought forward to Saturday 13th May.  This is to coincide with the Doncaster Folk Weekend and is a session of singing and playing around the room.  1.30pm start.  Come and listen to the music or join in if you can sing or play.
Saturday 24th June is the next Sing Around back in its regular spot on the last Saturday of the month.

Sunday 14th May is Music in The Upper Room with Simon Kempston all the way from beautiful Edinburgh. Simon is supported by our very own Dave Oldroyd. This is a ticketed event and tickets are available from the bar and from the wegottickets site.  Doors are 4.30pm with music starting at 5pm and usually finishing around 7.30pm

Sunday 11th June the Music in the Upper Room is Rich and Bent two local chaps who will thoroughly entertain you with songs you can sing along to – right through to songs written by the lead singer Mr Bent. This is another ticketed event and tickets are available from the bar and from the wegottickets site.  Doors are 4.30pm with music starting at 5pm and usually finishing around 7.30pm
