We have lots of different events happening at The Tap throughout June.

Every Tuesday is Quiz night – starting at 8pm with the picture quiz then the questions start at 8.30pm. Teams from 1 to 6 people with the winning team getting 6 beer tokens which are valid for 1 week. There is also a Jackpot where there is a chance of winning up to £100.

Wednesday 14th June is ‘Have a Crafty One’ starting at 7.30pm.   You are invited to bring whatever craft you are currently working on and join like minded people to craft over a glass of something.  The Green Oak Morris Men practice in The Upper Room on a Wednesday night and new members are always welcome.

Thursday 1st June will be a Singing Together Concert a little bit different from normal.

Thursday 8th June’s Singing Together will be held in The Upper Room with guest singer Dan Walsh.

Thursday 8th is the June ‘Well Spoken’ where you are invited to bring a piece of work to read or you can read something by your favourite author/poet. As it is election day the theme is going to be political, so if you want to do an election type poem, verse that would be fantastic.

Thursday 15th June is ‘Stammtisch’ which is an evening of German Conversation. Come along and join the group speaking German or again you can just listen.

Thursday 29th June Book Club and the books for June are Alice and the Fly by James Rice and The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson. Read either or both of these books and attend the book club to discuss and mark out of 10.

Every Friday is ‘Cheeky Drinkers Club’. Start your weekend off well with a cheeky pint with friends.

Saturday 17th June is ‘Uke Can Do It’ which is our Ukulele Group. Bring your Uke and join in the fun playing and singing some popular songs.  Starting at around 1.30pm until 5pmish.

The Open Folk Session in June is on Saturday 24th starting around 1pm and finishing at 5pmish. It is a session of singing and playing around the room.  Come and listen to the music or join in if you can sing or play.

Sunday 11th June the Music in the Upper Room is Rich and Bent two local chaps who will thoroughly entertain you with songs you can sing along to – right through to songs written by the lead singer Mr Bent. This is another ticketed event and tickets are available from the bar and from the wegottickets site.  Doors are 4.30pm with music starting at 5pm and usually finishing around 7.30pm
